Mini has started school again and she's full of nostalgia. Got me looking into my own pensieve and indeed, it's been exactly 10 years since we went into uni. Darn, I am also reminded of the big 3 lurking in the horizon.
Let's take a peek into my pensieve 10 years ago:-
1. Met a wonderful man called Hubby
2. Was a SYT then. No wrinkles, no eyebags, no sagging arms and butts. Was more interested in pimple creams than de-wrinkle creams. Now the reverse.
3. Living off pocket money. Money was scarce but life was simpler and more carefree.
4. Bought my first pager. SMS was in the form of number codes :) Another reason why the GenX is smarter than GenY.
5. The world was a calmer place to live in. No widespread fear of terrorism, bird flu, SARS, tsunami etc. Maybe the end times are really near.
6. Yes, the napster days. I still keep a good portion of these precious loot in my computer :)
7. Blogging was unheard of. IRC and ICQ were the in-things.
The world has really changed dramatically in the last 10 years. The globe has shrunked a great deal and the way of doing things is completely different. Very soon my all-time favourite AirSupply and Eagles will become oldies. And my worst fear of young kids on the streets addressing me as "auntie" will come true. Life is short so we should live like there's no tomorrow. Otherwise we'll have a long list of regrets on our deathbed. Morbid, but this is life.

I remember waking up in the wee hours of the morning to chat with this German guy on IRC. *hehe* What was I thinking? :P
*sigh* yes mid life crisis. decided I need to travel more and step outside my comfort zone.
wow have u already known hubs for 10 years?
kk> what happened between u and him in the end??
mini> yes have known hubs for 10 years and it is a long time. all of us are experiencing midlife crisis now. well, at least you are doing something to widen your horizon!
Actually, it just kinda died a natural death...I was too lazy to keep up with the chatting after a while. :)
